Cover the wiring with carpet or slabs. The achievement only pops if the trap is visually undetectable (no exposed redstone dust within 3 blocks of the bait).
If the mob walks right past the piston before it extends, shorten your conductive wire line. Every block of wire adds a tiny fraction of a delay. Moving the trigger closer to the piston solves this. Place the facing inward at the second block level
