We’re insanely impressed.
Previously, our Mac Pro’s were struggling for 6 hours to spit out a single 2282x2282 10-minute video in HAP. The entire 90-minute show would take five days to render at that rate. With NotchLC we re-encoded everything in just 7 hours. Incredible speeds aside, the quality surpasses anything we’ve seen so far.

True to form, Midorima instantly goes for a three-pointer when he gets the ball first, providing a hilarious moment of consistency Source: Reddit - r/anime.

Below is a review of the series’ core appeal and how it continues to drive massive popularity, even years after its conclusion. Series Overview High-Octane Action : Unlike more grounded sports series, Kuroko no Basket

Aomine, in the zone, drives wild. Aoki matches his speed but breaks the rhythm of his crossover. Aomine's own ankle twists—not sprained, just confused . He falls. The ball rolls out of bounds. kuroko no basket 755

Understanding the power scaling is key to the series. Each member has a unique, "unbeatable" talent: Tetsuya Kuroko

Concurrently, Seirin's Taiga Kagami teams up with Tatsuya Himuro for an extravagant cooking session to prepare a massive birthday feast. The episode concludes at Kuroko's house, where both his old Teikō friends and new Seirin teammates crowd together to celebrate his birthday, culminating in the historic group picture. Why Episode 75.5 Matters to the Fandom 1. Emotional Closure and Healing True to form, Midorima instantly goes for a

From an audiovisual standpoint, the finale (specifically the anime adaptation) is a triumph. Director Shunsuke Tada and Production I.G utilize rapid cuts, dynamic angles, and a color palette that pops—Akashi’s Emperor Eye glowing red against the blue of Seirin’s jerseys creates a visual duality that is striking. The soundtrack, particularly the usage of granrodeo’s opening themes and the intense string orchestral pieces during crucial baskets, elevates the tension to a fever pitch.

The OVA concludes with a touching, lighthearted gathering of the characters, highlighting their personalities and strong bonds, showcasing their growth beyond the competition. Why Fans Love "Tip-Off" (OVA 75.5) Aoki matches his speed but breaks the rhythm

Episode 75.5 acts as the "true" emotional finale for the original series. It proves that Kuroko’s brand of "team-first" basketball succeeded not just by winning the championship, but by healing the fractured friendships of his former teammates. that follows these events?

(officially titled "The Greatest Present" or Saikou no Present Desu ) is an essential, heartwarming Original Video Animation (OVA) that bridges the intense basketball rivalries of the main series with a much-needed celebration of friendship. Released as a bonus episode included with the Season 3 DVD Volume 9, this specific slice-of-life masterpiece offers fans a look at the characters away from the high-stakes pressure of tournaments. It centers entirely around Tetsuya Kuroko's birthday and the symbolic reunion of the Generation of Miracles .

When they finally hit the court, the intense, supernatural tension of the Winter Cup evaporates. Instead, the boyish joy of basketball returns. Midorima immediately shoots his signature full-court three-pointer, and the boys trade baskets without the weight of expectations or fractured egos.

The ultimate strategist and the phantom strategist combining their intellect.

Detail when you need it. Unlike other mainstream GPU codecs, NotchLC uses variable block size and variable control point bit levels to provide extra detail while allowing greater compression in areas of flatter colours.

NotchLC breaks colour data down into luma and chroma (YUV). 12bits of depth are assigned to luma data, as in many scenarios this is where bit depth is most perceivable. 8bits are assigned to each of the U & V channels.

Rather than specify target bitrates and end up with undetermined quality outcomes, NotchLC takes the reverse approach: during encoding you set a quality level, and the encoder uses the most compression it can while preserving it.

Utilising the modern SSIM measurement method, NotchLC delivers the high-quality results that are needed to be qualified as an intermediary codec. Don’t take our word for it though — read what dandelion + burdock writes in their big, independent 10bit codec test.

NotchLC utilises the full power of the GPU to massively accelerate the encoding process. On a consumer PC, encoding can be up to 5.7x faster than realtime at 1080p24. As an example, we encoded the Open Source movie “Big Buck Bunny” (duration 09:57) in just 1 min and 44 secs.

In a CPU codec, the CPU decodes the image and sends the huge raw frames up to the GPU. The secret sauce of a GPU codec is that compressed frames are uploaded and the GPU does the decode. The compressed frames are much smaller in size allowing vastly more video to be passed through the PCI-e bus.

Typically you will see compression ratios of around 5:1 on motion graphics content when compared to raw video. You’ll be able to dial in your final file size by using the encoder’s Quality Level (see the manual).
